Fox walked through the celler of Brandsworth Prison Fort on her usual partol and as usual it was dull and nothing happened. She wondered what Gavin and Nick were doing, they were probably having more fun than she was.

Gavin was at the Tower for Heather since Heather got sick. Nick was now stuck doing all the paper work, "AH! Why must there be so much papers!" This is what Brianne must of felt like. Nick groaned as he smacked his head on the desk.

Fox finished her patrol and walked to Nick office and said "i'm coming in if ya like it or not Nick." she said and opened the door letting herself in.

Nick looked up from over the pile of papers, "Yes? Please don't tell me you have a patrol report for me to look at..." Nick said hopefully.

Fox chuckled, "well then today is not your lucky day mate! here ya go." she placed the paperwork on his desk

Nick smacked his head onto his desk again, "Of all the days for Heather to get sick..." He muttered to himself before looking back up to Fox, "Maybe you would like to help me get through these?"

Fox laughed loudly at her boss and took a seat, "since i'm nice i won't leave ya alone with the work. Besides it's gotta be better than patrol." she responded.

Nick grinned, "Maybe, maybe not. You never know." Nick remembered when he went on patorl. It was never a dull moment for him, especially the prision break a few years ago.

"lately patrol has been boring as hell. believe me i could do patrol blindfolded by now." she responded.

Nick chuckled at Fox, "That what I thought too when I was your age....I wish I didn't say that." Nick sighed, he thought it made him sound old. He was only 43 so he didn't think he was THAT old.

"why not old man?" she asked giggling.

Nick smiled, "Because it make me sound old." He said, "I am not that old now...am I?"

Fox smiled back, "well...... you are almost over the hill, not to many more years and you'll be..." she gasped for dramatic effect, "50!"

Nick laughed out heartly, "That wouldn't be for...8 years now." He said with a smile still on his face.

Fox pointed at him, "ah-ah-ah 7 years. you're 43 mate not 42!" she exclaimed laughing at his attempt to make himself younger.

"Ah I just mis-counted." He said, rubbing his temples with a hand, "I am just tired...because of these stupid papers. All reports from Everland and the Isle."

Fox leaned over and patted his head, "sorry mate. why don't you take a break?" she asked.

"Because I am determined to finish these papers...I wonder how the hell Brianne does it though..." Nick raked his fingers through his thick, dark blond hair. Brianne was Nick's unoffical adopted daughter, he had changed his last name so that he could keep her with him when she was younger.

"she's used tot his much, you're not. Ya need to take a break. don't wanna over work yourself." Fox said worrying as usual.

Nick smiled softly at Fox, "You can be very mother like, you know that?" He said before standing up, "Alright, I will go and rest for a bit but I need to get these done by tomorrow."

"good and if i catch you here, not resting. you will regret it." she said jokingly, "and don't say im like a mum i don't even have a man yet, how can i be a mum." she said giggling.

Nick blinked, a bit surprised, "Really? I am actually surprised...and I say you are because you worry and tell me what to do." The last part was meant as a joke, Nick chuckled.

"well someone has to." she replied laughing lightly, "and why are you surprised, i hardly ever leave the fort. the only men i know are you, my brothers, Gavin, and a few of the male guardians." she responded.

"I just thought..." Nick said rubbing the back of his neck, "That you found someone already." Then shrugged, "I'm sure you will one day though."

"eh probably not, but it don't matter. what matters is you getting some rest." she responded staring at him, still sitting.
