To find one's heart, a lesson is learned

Kevin had transported in his sleep again and know he had no clue to where he was, "Not again..." he said as he looked around and started to walk in a random dierection.

Meanwhile....

"Are you sure these reports are true?" Brianne asked Jack has he handed her his findings, "Ie, they are." Brianne bit her lower lip, "Alright...then you take someone with you and try and not to get killed." Brianne got reports about killings in Oakwood, if she didn't find out who it was then they would be in big trouble.

Roju was walking around when he heard brianne tell jack to go to oakwood to investigate some killings. "do you mind if i come?" roju said to jack

"Sure short stack." Jack said as he put his hands behind his head, "You'd make a fine mule."

"short stack? im not that short" roju said laughing. "well im ready when you are"

Jack put a hand on top of Roju's head and smiled as he peered into his eyes, "Then we are off." in a sudden puff of smoke, they were gone and arrived in Oakwood.

when they arrived roju lost his balance but caught himself before he fell. "next time we transport do you think you can give me a warning?" he said to jack

Jack made it look like he was thinking, "Na...anyways come on." He said, he didn't transport to the village in Oakwood, the reports were from in the forest but not in the village.

"what exactly are we supposed to be doing here" roju said

"Catch a killer." Jack said simply, "It is a he, large, with Shadow and Sound element." Jack looked to Roju, "He is very dangerous and could attack anytime..."

"sounds exciting" roju said, "how are we going to catch him"

"The same way I caught my brother, you will be bait." Jack said as he grinned, "Then I will put binds on him."

"i dont think it will be that simple. the killer most likely already nows we are here so he will be ready for an ambush. i think we should track him back to his hiding place and attack him there"

"Then we would be on his grounds, it isn't safe to do that." Jack said as he stuck his hands in his pockets, "To find him correctly, we need to find...well his heart."

"well since his heart is in his body all we have to do is find him" roju said

"To find one's heart, you must learn a lesson. Weather in sacrifice and lost, or joy and happiness. Emotion is what keep us from the darkness." Jack quoted from an old book, "Since I had someone dear taken from me, I grieved and sorrow filled me...so I can sense where he is."

"well it shouldnt be hard to find him if you can sense him."

Jack stopped Roju by putting his hand infront of him, "Listen..." he said, but only the wind blew.

Roju listened but only heard wind. "whats going on" he asked

Jack was quiet and still for a disturbing min then he grabbed the back of Roju's shirt and pulled him around as an arrow flew pass him, "Well one part is down...we found him."

roju turned and sent a large blast of fire at the place the arrow cam from. "well lets kill him" he said

"Come on out..." Jack shouted but the answer back was laughter, "He moves...quickly..." Jack thought. An instant later, another arrow shot pass, cutting Jack's arm. He cursed under his breath as he held it, "He is using sound to shot the arrows...it is almost impossible to sense." Jack said. he took out his Sanjen Darka (Death dagger) and held it firmly in his hands, "Roju, can you make a wall around us so he can't get out?"

"ill try" roju said as he dodged an arrow. "fire wall" he said as he shot walls up around the area

"Good job." He said as his vibrant green eyes looked around. "Where is he?" he thought, Jack suddenly pushed Roju and jumped out of the way as a sound wave raced to them.

"im only gonna be able to keep this wall up a little longer. its draining my energy" roju said

"Who are you 2?" asked the killer from the shadows. Jack dodged another sound wave, "Jack Deviant...I might as well tell you since I am going to kill you." The man laughed, "You...Jack...your that Mastermind's kid, right?" Jack didn't answer, "I will enjoy killing you 1st."
