The pain of the past to unlock the future

Kyodai finally arrived at Jeramey's grave as well, his face looking a bit flushed, "Damn heat..." he thought. "Hey..." Kyodai said, standing next to Reika.

Reika looked up and saw him. "hey..." she mumbled.

Kyodai sat next to her, "How are you feeling?" he asked.

"ok...i guess..." she replied, "you?"

"I umm...a bit warm...but I'm ok." Kyodai said then sighed, he missed Jeramey.

"your sick, you need to rest." she replied

"No I am not..." Kyodai mumbled, he always disagreed with people when they said he was sick.

"well i know what im talking about and you are sick i dont care what you say

Kyodai merely mumbled under his breath.

reika rolled her eyes. "if your going to say something, then be a man and say it, don't mumble." she said

"I'm not sick." He said, stubbornly.

Reika rolled her eyes, "right." she replied

Kyodai coughed, "I am just warm from the sun..."

"lies.....lies and moldy cheese." she replied

"Moldy cheese?...anyways, I am not. If I was then I wouldn't be up..." He said, stubbornly.

"whatever." she said standing up, and leaving for work

Kyodai didn't leave his spot, he merely sat on the sand, looking at Jeramey's grave.

Reika opened the door to the tavern and walked to the back to start working

The time slowly dimmed away, the bar was quiet then packed then quiet again.

Reika smiled as she worked. it always took away the things that she didn't want to think about, and she got to see some of her friends too. but there was one person she hadn't seen/ the guard, Yunho. he usually came for a drink at least once a day but he had yet to show

"Hello Reika, sorry that Yunho isn't here." said one of the other guards that usually came, "He had to work late."

Reika laughed, "that man is such a work-a-holic." the 14 year old replied

The guard laughed, "He sure is." He took a drink of his beverage then leaned in, "Hey...did you hear the rumors?"

she gave him a confused look, "Rumors? what rumors?" she asked

The guard looked around, as if trying to see if anyone was listening then leaned in, "About that Shadow Clan...I heard that one of their members went rogue and left."
