The pain of the past to unlock the future

Reika saw out of the corrnor of her eye and pushed him out of the way so he wouldn't get hit by it

Because it hit her to the side, it didn't kill her but it would be extremly painful. "Reika!" Kyodai as he got back up.

Reika let out a small wimper as she hit the ground, not having the ability to scream. "run kyodai....please...." she whispered biting down on her lip

"I am not leaving you." Kyodai said as he growled then glared at Jack, "So your that bastards son? Heh, I should have figured." Jack narrowed his eyes at Kyodai then shot another shadow ball but Kyodai blocked it, "Awaken!" a light blue light hit jack who was sent flying backwards but this time, didn't get back up.

Reika clenched her side as she lay in pain

"Reika, I'm so sorry!" Kyodai as he kenlt beside her, he didn't know what to do.

"it's....not your fault..." she said softly.

Using his water element, Kyodai began to heal Reika.

"no...don't worry about me....i'll be fine..." she said softly. "don't waste.....your energy." she said

"Please don't talk, your hurt and I am gonna heal you." Kyodai said softly.

Reika stared at him softly before saying, "i'm sorry....."

"You don't have to be..." Kyodai said as he finished, she would feel very sore to move but she would live.

"yes i do....he was right....if i had died the day i met your brother.....if i had let him kill me......none of this would have happened....." she whispered

Kyodai took Reika's hand in his, "Reika, I don't want you thinking that...please stop blaming yourself..."

"but it's true..." she whispered, "if i had let him kill me.....he wouldn't have died and you wouldn't have gotten hurt....." Reika said.

Kyodai looked down, tears formed in his eyes, "Please...just stop..."

Reika looked at him in shock. the strong man she had seen earlier was gone. she raise a hand and wiped a stay tear from his eye

Kyodai looked at her, "Jeramey would have died at some point, maybe even sooner then he did but he died a hero. He died loving you."

Reika replayed his words in her mind as tears began falling from her eyes

Kyodai pressed his lips to her hand that he was holding, "Please don't cry..."

she tried to stop the tears from flowing but they just wouldn't listen to her

Kyodai leaned over and kissed her forehead.

Reika continued crying silently

Kyodai picked her up and hugged her close to him to make her feel better.

Reika wrapped her arms around his neck and continued to cry
