The pain of the past to unlock the future

Reika watched her silently, fidgiting with her hands.

"Theres a lot of cracks in his mind...if I don't repair them then he might lose it..." Brianne said looking to Alice and Jack who both had worried looks on their faces.

"please help him ma'am. please....." she begged softly.

Jack put a hand on her shoulder, "You see...she would need to block all energy except his body energy so it doesn't damage his mind...but by doing so, she still might end up damaging it since his element energy which is still a part of him, will be disconnected from his soul..." Jack explained.

Reika looked down saddly, "there are risks.....but i can't just wait here for him to lose it.........i have faith that he will be alright....." she said softly

"I understand...Jack can you escort her out. Sorry but I need you to leave the room. Alice transport Kyo to a room then you may leave as well..." Brianne said, sounding almost sad about having to do this.

Reika leaned down and kissed Jeffery's forehead, "please be alright...." she whispered softly.

"Come on, lets get you something to eat." Jack said as he lead Reika to the dinning hall. Alice transported Kyo to a room then walked out of the infirmary. Brianne started the process, "I promise..."

It took hours but Brianne soon finished, she fell back in a chair as she sighed, "That was more then I thought...." Jeffery remained asleep and soon Alice entered the infirmary again, "Did it work?" But Brianne shrugged, "I don't know, there was more damage done then I thought. I'm not even sure I got everything but the block was put up for longer then intended..."

Reika tried eating, but couldn't she was to worried about Jeffery.

Heather came up with a plate for herself, Jack had already finished his, "I'm sure Jeffery will be ok, he is in good hands after all..." she said as she sat down.

Reika nodded still fidigeting with her hands just staring down at her food.

Alice came into the dining room, "Reika, Brianne wishes to see you in the infirmary. Kyodai is also waiting for you in the infirmary." Jack and Heather looked at each other in a worried way.

Reika nodded her eyes filled with worry. "a-alright....." she followed Alice back to the infirmary

Alice opened the doors to the infirmary, Kyo sat in a chair waiting for her and looked to Reika as she entered, "Your ok." Kyo said in releif. Brianne was on the other side of the bed, "Reika I need to talk to both you and Kyo about Jeffery." she said in a very serious tone. Brianne nodded to Alice who then nodded as well then left.

Reika ran over to Kyo and hugged him, then she looked over at Brianne, "are they both okay?"

Kyo hugged her back, "Kyo is fine...but..." Brianne said and looked to Jeffery, "Jeffery may not be..."

"what's wrong with him......please tell me he's not dead...." she said her eyes wide and looking like she was about to burst into tears

"No, he's not dead...well he is undead since he is a vampire...but he isn't dead dead." Brianne said, "His mind was damaged more then I had 1st thought and I am not sure I had fixed everything. On top of that, I had to block off his elements for a long period of time which may have side affects when he wakes up..."

Reika looked down saddly and said nothing.

"At less he is still alive, whatever the problem may be, we can help him with it." Kyodai said as he still held onto Reika.

Reika nodded and hugged kyodai tightly.

"You both may sleep here, at the Tower. Jeffery should wake up in the morning." Brianne said as she stood up, "I can show you to yours rooms....but I'm sorry, you can't sleep in the infirmary."

Reika nodded "that is alright......" she said softly

Kyo watched Brianne leave then lead Reika to one of the room, "Do you need anything?" he asked as he took off his travel clothes.

Reika shook her head, "i'm fine..." she said looking down
